David Greenberg
President
Biographical Sketch
David Greenberg is currently President of Mandrien Corporation. David’s career path is what would commonly be known as a “serial entrepreneur”. David created numerous companies in a variety of diverse industries, as well as acquiring companies with the intent to increase valuation ultimately with a planned “exit strategy”. When David became involved with Mandrien, it quickly became apparent to him that appreciable opportunity exists in the Title Industry and began to broaden the scope of services by forming certain alliances and joint ventures, expanding the scope of outsourcing services, positioning Mandrien to acquire other complimentary entities and offer additional value added services for the Industry.
In his role, David will continue as a results oriented entrepreneurial leader, focusing on negotiation with a creative visionary approach, complex transactional deal structuring, and a record of winning and creating new business in competitive environments.
As an example of selected prior ventures, David was the CEO/Creator & Co-Founder of the first Virtual Bank targeted to the burgeoning U.S. Hispanic market. By utilizing the domain names BancoInternet.com & BankInternet.com, he and his team created one of the first interactive financial community sites in the U.S., operative in three languages. The initial purpose of the site was to build registered users using a “guerilla type” direct response television (“DRTV”) marketing approach. The first person hired was the former CFO of American Express who assisted David in leading the recruitment efforts of assembling a powerful management team. The Board of Directors included Jack Kemp – Former HUD Secretary, Danny Wall – Former Chairman of FSLIC, Carlos Loumiet – Former head of banking for the law firm Greenberg Traurig, and John Lakian – Co-Founder and CEO of the Fort Hill Group, an Investment Banking & Venture Capital Firm. David negotiated the raise of $20M in private seed capital, as well as a commitment of $25M from the bulge bracket Investment Banking firm DLJ.
For the sake of brevity, other ventures included the founding of a specialized new Telecommunications Industry in 1984 dubbed Audiotext (a precursor to the Internet). David and his partners Dick Clark, Billy Davis, Jr and others created the first chat services; first sports update services, the leading lottery information service for the State of Florida, and created the first Interactive Television “Reality” Show. Revenues were driven by TV Commercials created internally, and traffic driven to respective services. The company ultimately having negotiated with Investment Banking Underwriters, led to a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO), NASDAQ listed nationally in 1995.
Although David’s tenure in the Title Industry is brief, the basic tenets of business remain the same. Often, “out of the box” thinking and differentiation serves both entrepreneurial small companies, as well as major corporate entities. David provides that visionary approach.
